CIMB Bank has announced that it will cease offering Touch ‘n Go (TNG) reload services at its automated teller machines (ATMs), starting from today.

“Effective 2 May 2023 onwards, Touch ‘n Go reload services at CIMB Bank Automated Teller Machines (ATM) will be discontinued. Please visit the Touch ‘n Go website to find the nearest Touch ‘n Go reload points,” the bank shared in a notice on its website.

Prior to this update, CIMB customers who opt to reload their TNG cards at CIMB’s ATMs could do so without charges, while there is a fee of RM0.50 to reload via other bank ATMs. Despite the cessation of this service, CIMB customers will still have a variety of other convenient methods to top up their TNG cards, including selected stores, petrol stations, TNG kiosks, and public transport stations. Note, though, that most of these avenues will also charge a RM0.50 reload fee.

Meanwhile, those who have managed to purchase the enhanced TNG card with near-field communication (NFC) capabilities will have an even easier time to top up their cards as they can do it for free via their TNG eWallet. The new card was launched back in April 2022, and is available for sale at several locations, including selected petrol stations, as well as TNG’s official online store on Lazada.
